Design and characteristics
Lunar Ox 1 oz silver 2021 The motif side of the coin Lunar Ochse 2021 shows an ox with a calf under a blossoming tree. A village in the mountains is indicated in the background. In addition, the face of the silver coin features the Chinese character for “ox” and the inscription “OX 2021” and the traditional ‘P’ mint mark for Perth Mint. The value side of the coin depicts the portrait of the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, the year 2021 and the face value. The fineness (.9999 silver) and the official face value (1 dollar) of the extraordinary coin are also shown here. The motif Lunar Ox 2021 is the second animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac and thus also marks the second motif in the Lunar 3 Silver series of the Perth Mint.
